Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in agronomy, horticulture, agriculture, agricultural extension, plant science, biotechnology or a related field
2. Enthusiastic and ready to learn new things
3. Good communication skills; able to pass on knowledge to farmers
4. Field work skills; enjoys working with communities and farmers
5. Able to prepare reports / projects / agricultural data
6. Good problem-analysis skills and able to solve problems on the spot
7. Able to work under pressure and manage several tasks at once
8. Able to use computers and MS Office
9. Able to use statistical software
10. Able to communicate in English
11. Ready to work off-site, able to work on holidays, and may need to stay overnight in other provinces as the work requires

Job description

1. Promote and disseminate agriculture in various aspects, such as breed improvement, farming improvement, propagation, soil improvement, pest prevention and control, and collection of agricultural statistics
2. Coordinate with agencies, communities and farmers in the area
3. Train, advise and transfer modern agricultural technology to farmers
4. Survey the field and collect data such as yield, production cost and income
5. Monitor the results of agricultural operations in the area
6. Work in the laboratory and the field
7. Help set up agricultural experimental plots and demonstration plots
8. Carry out work assigned by supervisors or work managers
9. Prepare reports and project documents
